I got to thinking about this after doing the new TD Recipe Book and I know this question crops up every year or so.

What method do you use to organize your recipes? As I stated before, I like Living Cookbook. What do you do to save all your recipes in an easy-to-retrieve format?

I type mine out or write them and store them in the filing cabinet in a folder.

Edit: I just started taking pictures of everyone and going to make a binder with the added pictures.

Mine are in a pile of printouts or written notes in a corner of the kitchen and they piss my wife off a lot.

I have a binder with all my recipes in it. I typed everyone taking account of changes I made and then put page protectors on it. Damn thing is over 200 pages long and took about 3 months to complete working on it on and off when I had time.

I use "Cookbook wizard" software on my computer. I also have hard copies of the recipes we really like, I had my hard drive crash a few years ago and I lost some really good ones. I keep the hard copies in 3 ring binders.

Don't want sauce on my screen.

Actually, these days I typically print something out and throw it away (uh, I mean recycle) when done. But I still do have a stack of hard copies in a corner of the kitchen that I really should either organize or toss.

No digital.....a Moleskine notebook. I use books, Internet, etc. then when a recipe makes it to the repeat list, I write it out in my red kitchen notebook. Most of its contents are bakers formulae, I don't really use very many savory cooking recipes. Oh, and my brain: memory still serves me well.

evernote. all of my stuff is accessible on any device. and when i need to know what to buy at the store...boom its on my phone. then prop your ipad up in the kitchen and follow your recipe. you can also snap a photo of your dish at attach it to your recipe. highly recommend.
