Tournaments have all sorts of rules that don't apply to everyday fishing, so I really don't care.

They did the same thing to live bait in the 70's. Bunch of fascist if you ask me...

Of no consequence to me. I don't fish professionally.

You shouldn't lash out like that. It's tough. Not everyone can do it. At least your little gun allows you to get near a dead fish.

Would be more likely to buy if it had a different name.

You know this is a BIG story when its in the New York Times! I wouldn't have expected the Alabama Rig to be covered in that newspaper.

There's def no place for it in professional tournaments. BASS saw this from the beginning, FLW as per usual lagging behind but saw the light as well.. Personally for fun fishing I love it. I've caught more fish in dead of winter than ever before. I fished Pickwick last year in February and caught 50 fish a day for three days with it. Awesome strike but the shoulder will suffer afterwards.

when I get the kenner out the shop, I am going to have one on a downrigger and pull the chit out of it on Ponchartrain.

This, and I wonder how this rig would fare with redfish and trout?

I caught my trout limit in 5 casts with it.

Not really. But I guess it could happen.
