First trip ever to Disney World - it was a blast

I've read many people here say it sucks, too many people, too expensive, etc.
I got there Thursday before Thanksgiving and stayed until Tuesday. Never waited in a ride line longer then 15 minutes other than 7 Dwarfs Mine Train (40 mins).
We had a blast, but my kids are a little older (8 & 11). I would not want to bring kids under that age.
Longest lines I saw were the waits to meet the characters and princesses (who were smokin BTW).
Who ever says they went to WDW and it sucked, doesn't know how to do it.

Took the family last July, it's a great time. We did 5 parks in 7 days.

My asian friend took his family from california to wdw. He sent me a text after 2 days "Is this an LSU campus? All i see is people wearing LSU stuff" lol

What was it like running into CocomoLSU on that bus?

I'm glad you and your family had fun. That's one place I have no desire to go.

Maybe it's because I'm from Florida, but I will never understand this board's obsession with Disney World.

Most "Tinkers" are male.

Heard you saw a fellow OT'er on the tram and wouldn't ID yourself when asked.

If you think that was fun, wait until your first Carnival cruise

No, wasn't me. Actually, I ran into someone in a LSU shirt from BR and I asked him if he posted here. He said no. (Wasn't on the tram)

You went at the most expensive time. My first trip was the same time line and I agree it was more enjoyable than when the poors go.

Bet he can't wait to take his 8 & 11 year old on the White Trash cruise.

Are you going to end up like my in-laws? I think they never had a chance to go as kids (MIL specifically), and once they went as an adult, she reverted to a child again. They literally go at least once a year (if not more) without kids. I just don't get it. I've already told my wife that our kid can go like once every 5 years. To many other places to see in this world besides Orlando Florida (and Epcot doesn't count as world travels!).

Disney is fun, but it's not a relaxing vacation. Did you take a vacation from the vacation?
We were there the first week of November, I went back to work the Monday after we got back Saturday, which was very rough. I was still exhausted from the trip...
On the side note, most disappointed part of the trip, kids had to take a pic with probably the worst Jasmin character ever. She was not attractive, had a muffin top around her belly, and was a b**** to all the kids. My wife was so pissed, she email Disney about her....

Went five times and my trips ranged from a cheap off property place to the Floridian. It sucked and the overpriced average food made it worse. Only good place to eat is that one on top of the contemporary California something, that place was excellent.

I'm currently taking a shite at the Beach Club. Headed to Epcot today and Christmas Party tomorrow night.
We've had a real good time and been blessed with great weather.
On the dining side we've got some real good ones coming up with Via Napoli, Kona Cafe and Victoria & Alberts on Thursday.
