In the 2012 NFL Draft only 2 of the top 7 picks will be starting for the team that drafted them.

#1 Luck
#2 RGIII benched & likely done in Washington
#3 TRichardson traded by Cleveland
#4 Kalil
#5 Blackmon DNP
#6 Mo Claiborne benched
#7 Barron traded by Tampa

#4 Kalil

he's had a rough year apparently too. I've seen a few Vikings games this year and remember the commentators talking about his struggles.

Just glanced at 2011's draft for some busts, and that looks like a damn strong draft class. Interesting to see how that class ends up comparing to others.

I wouldn't even count out Kalil yet, he's went drastically backwards every year since 2012.

Wow two Alabama players and both were busts.

Why do Alabama players not do well in the NFL? Saban get every last bit out of them then they're done?

Yeah in hindsight 2011 was a really weak year in college football. Bama and LSU would have been crushed by last years FSU team.

LSU had shite for offense, but it would keep FSU low-scoring and may wear down FSU over the game to win it late

2011 Bama would arse frick and creampie 2013 FSU

The 2011 draft 1st round was awesome from non-QB perspective.

Same reason LSU had some high picks bust?
Some players just aren't good

The consistency seems much more prevalent among Alabama players. It could be a false impression; I don't feel like looking up and comparing the whole pool of NFL players from Alabama and LSU. Maybe someone else could do that.

UGA players do well in the NFL too. Guess our coaches just don't utilize our talent.

All 3 QBs picked in the top 10 in 2011 are busts (Newton, locker, gabbert). At least luck is producing at a level worthy of a #1 pick

They do.

Probably going to have a bama player win ROtY two years in a row.

2011:
1. Cam Newton - when he has a line and is required to do less, this team wins. Its tricky, they haven't really tried to get him protection or receivers to improve. They're stuck with like 20mil in RBs that are injured
2. Von Miller - Top 5 OLB
3. Marcell Dareus - Top 5 DT
4. AJ Green - Top 5 WR
5. Patrick Peterson - Top 5 CB
6. Julio Jones - Top 5 WR
7. Aldon Smith - Top 10 OLB
8. Jake Locker - oft-injured
9. Tyron Smith - Top 5 LT
10. Blaine Gabbert - bad QB, too young
11. JJ Watt - Top DE/DT/DL/D player, whatever
12. Christian Ponder - bad qb
13. Nick Fairley - Above average DT that needs some weight management help and motivation. None of the two, he's average/below average
14. Robert Quinn - Top 10 DE, probably top 5
15. Mike Pouncy - Top 5 Center
16. Ryan Kerrigan - Top 10 OLB

So 1/3 of them (All QBs and one DT) are average/below average. The rest are top 5 or top 10 at their respective positions.

vs. 2012 who have
a top 5 QB, a top 5 ILB, and a top top 10 DT in the top 16.

Damn

Barron isn't a bust. Not even close. His production thus far doesn't match his #7 pick, but a bust he is not.

Btw the Alabama bust stuff is absolutely hilarious and a myth.

LSU had about 15 guys drafted from that defense alone.

including 3 in the top 10 and a 4th within the top 15 of their respective drafts

That's not even including Mathieu or Eric Reid
