according to what I just heard on 680 the Fan here in ATL. Haven't seen anything official anywhere else. Anyone know if the betting lines were really taken down?

Going to be interesting to see an Oregon style offense pop up in the big 10

He's been the favorite since Pelini was fired. He's young and was a quarterback for Nebraska. He's a perfect fit.

I don't think they'll run Oregon's offense.

Look for them to run something of middle ground between Oregon's offense and the Nebraska offense of the 90s.

Why wouldn't they run the Oregon Offense?

You mean like the time when RichRod's offense was so successful at Michigan? Tell me again how that worked out.

Giant Midwestern offensive lineman

See 1990s Nebraska and 1990s-Present Wisconsin

It can be extremely effective too.

I like Frost, but I would prefer to see him come in as OC "coach-in-waiting" under a more established HC such as Tressel.

Does Oregon's scheme require big, powerful OL, or nimble OL? If the former, then it won't work (see Rich Rod at Michigan). Wisconsin's run scheme (at least with respect to what the OL must do) is a lot different than Oregon's.

Would you please stop mentioning this name? In the thread yesterday people politely listed why he is not an option nor ever will be an option to coach again, anywhere.

Northwestern has run spread-option since the early 00s

Walker destroyed people with it and 4 teams use it now in the B1G, at least.

I have feeling the Single Wing is starting to fade away in next 4 to 5 years and will evolve back to the I or a variation of it.
