Shave madman

This poor fella died a while back and I just got around to finding this old post.

I just got the CVS brand razor with 5 blades... handle and 5 replacement cartridges for $15 and a 5 pack is only like $8. Shaves just as good as a gillette. And won't cost me 40 to get new blades

Or you could get a safety razor.

You can buy 50 platinum blades for $15. Each blade lasts me 1 week and have much better shave than I ever got with a multiblade setup

I met him at his shop in Austin. Went in to grab some shaving cream, walked out an hour later with all kinda of stuff. Some I paid for, some he just gave me. He is crazy passionate about his craft. It's pretty admirable.

He looks wild. Saw he was from Austin. Explains some. Dude is loco. His stuff looks pricey. And you need multiple items to get going.

Read that you get crazy slick lather though. I would assume you'd need it. Slashing that razor around your face like a pirate.

That dude has to be the shittiest teacher. I shave with a safety razor, and that video was cool as hell, but it wasn't helpful at all.

I didn't buy his whole system as I was just getting into wet shaving at the time. His hydro last aftershave balm/ treatment is great stuff. He laid an all time great sales line on me and I had to buy a jar... "It's like an air conditioner for your face". Hah hah it has peppermint oil in it. Very soothing and cooling.

The terms he uses are hilarious. He renames everything pretty much.

Nah man the handle prevents you from access to an open, whole blade. I can't think of a single risk with a double edge safety razor setup.
