Arse's Fatty Rewind™ (Thanksgiving)

Another one bites the dust. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year. Who doesn't enjoy hanging with the family and the accompanied pain from eating too much?

Wednesday after work, I headed to the Quarter to meet up with my friend. We decided we'd go to her old place to hang with her old neighbors. They had just driven in from Pensacola and brought some royal reds. He cooked them up and we ate all of them.



After having an impromptu dance party, we decided to hit up a bunch of gay bars. Two of the guys in the crew are gay. We went to Oz, the Pub, and ended up at 700 Club. There was a lot of dancing at all places. This interesting song about ice cream seemed popular.



While at the 700 Club, I ordered some tots, tacos, and tamales. All were good I think b/c I had had about 7 doubles by this point. The tacos were only a $1.





After polishing the food off, I walked my friend home. But we ran into a friend at Lafitte's in Exile and he purchased us some drinks.

I cabbed home and hit the sack.

Around 6, I awoke with a slight hunger pain. I was glad to find a leftover California burrito in my fridge from Tuesday night. It was great.


After eating, I decided I should get a workout in to assist my appetite. Those sit-ups were a bitch.


I then showered and headed to mass. After mass, I ran to Lafitte's to catch a drink before heading to my relatives in the Bywater.

My grandmother and aunt had a nice spread. I will not go into detail about all of the food, but I tried everything. The gumbo and artichokes were my favorite. I wanted some more gumbo but had to eat again shortly. The cheesecake was outstanding. It had lemon zest. The only thing I found odd was the eggplant parmesan. I'm sure the Pilgrims devoured that shite at the original thanksgiving.

















Of course I took the neck.



After that meal, we headed to the little lady's parent's house. They also had a nice spread. Everything was delicious. It just sucks that I can't eat like this on a regular basis.













I almost polished this off. I enjoyed it.


Before the game, I was given some 20 year Pappy.


I then relaxed and watch LSU dominate the Aggies.

At the half, I hit up the pies. I love pecan.






After the game, I went to bed.

I'm hoping to continue the fun this weekend. Let's go Greenies.
