i put the first bird in and the oil level was fine, i poured the rest of the marinade into the fryer and that caused alot of fire and the oil overflowed the pot.

now there is a stain on my FIL's patio.

I hit it with the p washer but that did nothing.

any recs?

This. Bought mine yesterday and cooked two turkeys today. Mother Trucker is awesome. Only complaint was that it takes longer to cook and through off my timing by an hour or so. However, now I know to plan on 10m/lb.

Ha, what a dumbass. You deserve oil stains.

I would try that stuff they use to pick up motor oil. I think it's just like a powder or something you put on the concrete and it soaks it up. Should have it at any auto parts place.

Purple power.

No idea why you'd pour something into the grease though.

Get a couple cans of degreaser from an auto parts store and soak it down...... then hit it with a garden hose

Was this before or after you burned the turkey to a crisp?....

To answer your question.....get yourself a bag of oil absorbent like they use in mechanic shops (or clay cat litter) and some kind of solvent....the best is the stuff they have in the parts washing vat at mechanic shops....

Pour the solvent on the stain and scrub the hell out of it with a broom....then soak the solvent up with the oil absorbent....

This works on used motor oil stains, so I know it will work on peanut oil...

I am a believer.
Been frying birds for 10+ years and they always came out well. It was just a PITA to deal with all the oil and the messy cleanup.

Went oil less this year, used a bit more injection, rubbed the outside with marinade and Slap ya Mama. Bird came out fantastic.
Don't go much over 12lbs and go 10 minutes a pound.

Cleanup took about 10 minutes.
