Been using one since 2009 and it tastes better and has paid for itself three times over.
I think they taste better, especially if you do a good job coating the outside in canola oil before you fry it. Plus it is healthier and can be used as a smoker as well.
I have the butterball one.

Don't you guys know how it works?
It is because the turkey is upright. That is what makes it fried.
Layimg down is baking but if you can stand it up in the oven it will fry instead of bake.

I agree
I have my oil less "fryer" that someone gave me for Christmas still in the box in my shop unopened

They're not useless, you just get a better bird by frying IMO

Yep I've got the Big Easy and I like it and I'm not buying oil and having to pour it back up after.

yep, they should work great on pot pies or cheese toast. I do have to wonder why people just don't use the oven they already have to roast their turkey

I will gladly trade the difference in flavor for the ease on the oil less. Plus with the oil less you can get a smokey flavor to it.

I agree with the OP, oilless frying is not as good a deep fried turkey, but I think it is close enough (about 95% as good).
With the oilless fryer I can cook one turkey any time of the year for a reasonable cost--the expense for the oil makes one turkey cost prohibitive.
I'll buy several turkeys while they are on sale, put them in the freezer, and have "fried" turkey throughout the year.
