Not sure I have ever met a person that missed offshore once they got a decent job onshore

I liked the rotation, and the work was exicting. Mainly do start up and commisioning jobs. Will be back out in another year or two for a bit.

If I never go offshore again it will be too soon. I am in Ohio finishing up my last hitch in the field for a while. I fly home Friday and start an office gig on Monday.

I have some questions about working offshore, I don't know much but I'm interested in learning what exactly ya'll do... I guess we can start off with you explaining to me a typical day if you don't mind...

In Saudi?

I was reading about that field in my SPE journal last week.. that's really cool how they made little islands for the wells

Yes, The islands are a pretty cool project esp when you consider how many bridges are involved. Just shows what you can do with lots of money and extremely cheap labor.

Depends on what you do. I sleep most of the time (and I probably have a more labor intensive job than these other guys).. But then there's those days where I'm up 30-50 hours.

I went get prescribed adderall when I got the job.
