To be fair, not many Americans could name 50-percent of England's counties, but still, it's fun to laugh.

Not really sure that's apples to apples. Wouldn't naming the countries in Europe be more accurate a comparison?

Jeopardy! has a lot questions on Canada -- probably because Alex Trebec is a Canadian. It's amazing how relatively bright people don't have a clue about where any Canadian city is located.

I know where the major Canadian cities are located, and I know a good bit about their political history. However, I admit I don't know a lot about Canada. I've always wanted to visit.

The English could probably name more US states than Americans could name England's counties.

My strategy is just to take some old New England city that has "New" in the name, drop the "New", and add "shire" to the end.
