I wouldn't expect to see Harris play much this year

When I said this year, I meant tomorrow (as in what's left of this year). I don't think it will help Harris at this point to play against aTm because if he doesn't grasp the offense at this point, he won't in a 5-day week. I'd hope he gets some playing time in the bowl game though. That gives the staff a few weeks to develop a game plan with him. Even though, the big question for the offseason is whether Harris can eventually "get" this offense. Because if he can't, then we are in trouble and better find a JUCO QB fast. It is too premature to make wholesale changes to our offensive approach.

I'd be surprised if LSU wasn't at 8 wins right now with Harris in.

Pure speculation, of course, but starting Harris from Day 1 would have been a guaranteed 4-5 loss season. I'd bet the coaching staff thought Jennings would have performed better than what they are getting and we would have had 1-2 less losses at this point.

It's so easy to play arm chair quarterback and second guess the coaches. What little we saw from Harris early this year, it was clear Jennings was the better option to win games.

C'mon, man! Harris is not dumb! Ever heard him talk off the cuff? Bright kid! I don't buy this lack of comprehension being attributed to BH ... Ridiculous!

I'm not saying he's dumb. I think he's just having trouble adjusting to a pro-style system. That is understandable. In my earlier posts, you'll see I'm actually pulling for the guy. We need him to hunker down and learn this system so that he can hit the ground running in the spring. Anyone can see he has talent to boot. He needs to go win the job.

Nope, the kid had a bad game and just like Lee, Les isn't going to ever trust him again. I really hope he transfers.
Why do you hope that? So you can be "right", and be miserable? Screw you then.

I hope Harris has an awesome year next year, because I want LSU to win. I'm an LSU fan.

So, is BH all of a sudden going to "Get It" by the Spring or Fall and take over the QB position. Nobody knows at this point. It's a gamble now.

Honestly, I totally get a Freshman taking a while to come along. BUT, that he hasn't come along well enough to pass the worst starting QB in major college football IS freaking concerning. If that's really the case, we are in for a rough couple of years.

You don't coach in the NFL like Cam Cameron for 15 years and not be a good coach. Give me a break. Some people aren't good QB's. Anthony Jennings is not a very good QB right now. After Brandon Harris went 3 for 17 or whatever that was he even said after the game that Cam Cameron had a great gameplan. But the gameplan doesn't mean anything if the QB can't execute it. Anybody who has watched LSU this year can tell our QB's overall have been below average. Harris has potential he just needs time. Manziel and Winston both sat on the sidelines a year. Jennings sat on the sidelines for a year and it didn't help him at all lol. Good players are good players. PERIOD. Maybe next year Harris will be ready. I just honestly don't think you can blame any of this on Cam Cameron. Les Miles well definitely yes. Cameron has only recruited for one year

Cmon. Our starting QB is the WORST STARTING QB IN ALL OF MAJOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!

"Below average" would be someone who was 7th or 8th in the SEC. Hell, at this point, we might be thrilled if he elevated himself to 10th in the SEC.

And, apparently, the other guy isn't good enough to beat that shite out.

If they really are both that fricking bad, then you're right. As far as on the field play this year, you can't blame Cam.

BUT, coaches in college recruit their players. No GMs to blame here. Consider that of ALL of the QB recruits we've managed to get on campus in the last 3 years, the BEST one we have is the WORST in all of major college football and THAT shite most certainly IS the fault of a coach or coaches.

I agree. Les Miles fault. Not Cam Cameron. Cameron has only been here 1 year and he pulled Harris who every major college program offered. So blame Miles not Cameron. This was the point of my post

Plus look what mettenberger did last year. How do u explain that? The player in this case and not the offensive coordinator is to blame

Miles certainly is not an idiot and Cam probably is not one either though he has not offered any evidence otherwise.

123 yards, 0 points, 1 lost fumble. That sound about right?

Giving the starting QB only half the snaps in practice seems odd . . .

Not true. They run two huddles. The scout team defense stays on the field. While one huddle is at the line running a play the other huddle is calling a play. This is a very efficient way to get 1st team and 2nd team reps.

Unfortunately it means Harris may not be that bright. I'm afraid it may not speak too well of his future.

And why don't you give them credit for making this change? People forget how out of position Kendall used to get himself.

because it was about six games too late. He could have honed up more against the rent a wins. I honestly think he would have made a big difference in the MSU and Aub games even if we still did not win.

As for Miles answer last night, I heard it and I agree with most of what you said with the exception that I believe that for some reason we have not understand and still don't, Les and Cam want BH to continue to study the game from the sideline. I do not think that they want him in game critical situations for some reason.

bullshite, Miles is too stubborn and bully headed. He did the same thing on 1-9-12

He had the luxury then - he had just won 13 straight games (14 if you count the Cotton Bowl).

I'm not sure he does now - and I'm a certified, Tier 1 Positiger.

right, and jennings has done so well right? two offensive TD's in three SEC games

get a new system and make that shite work if the system doesn't fit the player.

tired of getting all of these 4 and 5 star recruits on offense and the system that is run is not fit for them.
