I've lost 3 or 4 pocket knives to the tsa. Didn't remember it was in my pocket until I had to empty them. I would have gladly paid for shipping to send it to my house instead of watching them throw it in the trash

1) Read the rules and pay attention to what you put into your.

2) Who do you expect to pay for the shipping?

Perhaps they need a stack of flat rate USPS boxes and a credit card machine with a drop box. I just don't see any reason why they would go out of their way to deal with other people's negligence.

And if this is in response to items in checked baggage you should go back and read 1 and 2.

Quit your bitching. Follow the rules, travel light, and there will be no issues.

I had a real nice pocket knife that my now departed grandfather gave me for high school graduation that I had in my dopp kit. It was in my checked luggage, but it was 53 lbs so I had to move some stuff including the dopp kit to my carry on, forgetting the knife was in there. I had to throw it away.

The terrorists have won.

I went through our brigade "customs" before leaving Afghanistan. I had to empty out my duffles bag after just packing them only to pack them up again. I didn't realize it until several months later but I had a full m4 magazine on that flight home that customs didn't see.

Not always the case. I thought I lost a pistol magazine, was so sure I lost it that I ordered a replacement. My carry on bag was used a few weeks prior and the magazine ended up sliding underneath the slat at the bottom of the bag. I couldn't find it, but TSA certainly did.

Yeah, because TSA should be responsible for spending extra resources to make sure you get your stuff back because you were lazy or were trying to sneak something onto the plane.

GFY.

I just always found it funny that I could bring the ACTUAL M9 on the charter flight
When I went to Iraq it was a trip to hear the stewardess' say "Please be sure to keep your muzzles points towards the front of the plane under the seats in front of you and please keep your weapons out of the aisles..."

I've been on 8 flights this year and don't remember anyone having anything confiscated. I don't think it would be that big of a deal for TSA to have you fill out a form and have your items delivered to the address on your ID. Plus, they could even have a service charge to offset their costs and generate revenue

I want my shaving cream back. Cracker jack tsa inspector said he would dispose of it for me. I am sure he did.

You didn't have to throw it away. It was your choice to get on the plane and throw the knife away or not get on the plane and keep the knife, you chose to throw the knife away. Or you could have just kept it in your checked bag, but you forgot.

Quick question for the frequent holiday travelers, but is two hours enough time to arrive for flying out of MSY this afternoon?

You're clueless.

I gladly pay $10 to have a $100 item mailed to me.
You sound like a huge douche bag too.

Yes.

MSY security goes pretty quick. I live near the airport and usually leave my house an hour before my flight.
