The smoke from the Beauty Supply shop looks really strange. I wonder what type of chemicals they have in those products. That was a pretty big store.

Looks like i guessed wrong. Ferguson is run by idiots. I can't believe they waited until night time to release this information.
So you think they should have done it during the day while most people are out and about?

Now all of this is the DA's fault for announcing at night? frick all this. frick this whole situation.

No, the blame still rests squarely on the criminals, but but it was dumb of the DA to handle it this way.

Need proof?

Eh. I've been critical of a lot. But not the timing. Getting kids to or from school in this cluster would be a nightmare of epic proportions. It is what it is.

From what I heard him say about the witness testimony... it sounds like Michael Brown stole a box of cigars from a store, the cop was called re the theft; Brown was spotted walking in the middle of the street; cop pulled up and said move to the sidewalk (Brown did not); Brown rushed the cop and got shot?

Michael Brown does not seem like the most sympathetic victim to build a movement around Not saying there is not a legitimate issue here (unjustified police shootings of young black males). Just saying they could have picked a better poster child?

Clearly the drive home from work for innocent people could be a shite ton of fun!

Well unless you are one innocent truck driver in Cali, you deserve a brick to the head.

People were out and about when the verdict was read. The differences between doing it during the day and at night is that at night the criminal element has a better chance of getting away and they feel braver with the dark of night to help hide them.

They could have easily cordoned off the area where protests were the worst last time. They could also just as easily have called for businesses to close early. Doing this at night only adds to the brazen-ness of the looters.

Looters being more brazen can be countered by an aggressive response IF they were allowed to do so.

Failing that, doing it at night at least let the general public shelter in place before shite met fan.

Allowing cops to be more aggressive in a rioting response to a cop killing someone? I don't think that's a well-thought-out idea.

Point is that the looters have been emboldened by the cops babying them for months due to outside pressure.

Letting them run wild may be good for PR purposes but it means that the whole town burns to the ground and a bunch of innocent people get hurt.

Smacking them in the face when they try to break into city hall or throw molotovs at the cops lets them know there are limits at whih point the cops break off a nightstick in their arse.

Four miles from Lambert International Airport? I flew into Lambert shortly after the first rioting, the lady I got my rental car from said it took her four hours to get home trying to avoid that shithole.

They shut down a portion of the interstate a month or so ago in protest.

I completely agree on that, but it's a real no-win situation for the cops. One option is bad, one is worse. They're already being anally probed by the Justice Dept for possible Civil Rights violations, breaking out the batons and water cannons wouldn't help their case any.

MSNBC host just said "There are a few buildings on fire, but that doesn't mean the city is burning". He said nonchalantly, as if it's a normal occurrence to have a few buildings burning in a town.

These fricking hacks will do ANYTHING to not step on their chosen victims' toes.

They need to start beating the hell out of these thugs.

And then start sending in the National guard and start shooting thugs on the spot who cintinue looting and burning.
