Wow guy.

This guy and his wife just wanted to hang out somewhere and enjoy the game.

That's a pretty big assumption you've made but I'm guessing your used to making those and ending up as the arse in each of them.

This is unfortunate.

OP, I hope it works out. If I were going I'd gladly invite you and your bride. That said, your approach in the subsequent posts were a little brazen in your assumption of respect, given the forum. For your sake, take the high ground with some folks. FWIW I'm retired military, but not getting into personal details on TD.

Navy you are awesome man! Can tell you are a stand-up gentleman

I was in Baghdad from 2007-2008.

LSU Football ... MEANT A LOT to me that year...just as I am sure it meant a lot to all.

For some reason, AFN carried a lot of LSU games that year ... typically in the wee hours of the morning.

Sucks to decide if you want to leave your hooch and miss some of the game ... to hit the bunkers due to fricking mortar/rocket attacks.

I met a Contractor wearing an LSU hat at Iraqi Army Base Camp Ur ... he was one of four Americans on the base, and meeting him was awesome.

The ups and downs of that year ... in the midst of a war zone ... and then to end up on top ... amazing.

Watched the beatdown of Ohio St. while on yahoo chat with my wife and best friend (LSU Grad).

When I left Iraq ... one of the Iraqis that I worked with ... game me a gift ... I had nothing to give back, so I gave him the LSU hat that I'd worn that season.

He was finally able to immigrate to America, and sent me a photo wearing that hat in Pennsylvania.

When I got back ... one of the best days of my life was being able to reunite my family and bring my wife and sons to a game at Tiger Stadium. It was the U-dub game....and there have been many more since.

And ... a great many SOLID Tiger fans ... treated us like family.

May you and your Mrs. ... find such Tiger fans. I assure you ... there are plenty out there.

Ask my wife's dad about the warm reception he got coming back from driving a tank in 'Nam. He still can't believe soldiers aren't spit on anymore. He has 4/5 diseases linked with agent orange and VA is fighting tooth and nail to cover his treatment. That is disrespect. As a result, he doesn't discuss his service with anyone.

Don't get yourself worked up over message board people and remember your fellow countrymen aren't spitting on you. You'll find somewhere to tailgate no sweat.

Your right I shouldn't have stooped to the level of the negative responses I received. I got a little fired up. No harm done, everyone has the own opinion.

Most non-douche active military are very humble and know that they will be given the respect they are due and don't think they need to remind people to give it.

I swear I'll kick your arse if I ever see you. I fly an American flag and an Army flag outside my house. I have army stickers on my car. I'm proud to serve and proud to show it off. We're the best.

I live in Nashville and won't be going to the game. If I were, I'd let you tailgate. Hope someone here lightens up and welcomes you. Thanks for your service.

I think (hope) everyone knew that, but some are just getting off on being douches. It's what they do, don't let it get to you.
