There was a time on this board, before he flew up the board, where people were saying that we shouldnt take him at our draft spot.

They also said we should take Landry in the first instead of him.

Those people were stupid

Didn't he say he wouldn't draft Beckham in the first 3 rounds or something incredibly asinine?

How did you forget to put Sammy Watkins on your list? You are also forgetting John Brown in Arizona & Martavis Bryant in Pittsburgh who went in the 3rd & 4th rounds. Both of them have contributed to their teams as well. Just a sick class of receivers this past draft. 1983 was of the draft of the QB. 2014 will be known as the draft of the WR.

Kelvin Benjamin got plenty of hate on here as well. The overall majority said he would be a bust.

I don't remember the exact details of our back and forth but it had something to do with tanking workouts. Not sure I said bust but I probably said wouldn't touch until 2nd round.

I thought Landry would be better in. The pros due to his size. OBJ is an extraordinary talent.
They're both going to be good-great WRs in the league. I would have been happy with either one. I'm just as happy(probably more so) with Cooks though. Guess we'll have to wait until next year when Payton figures out how to use him better.

It actually came out that he did that on purpose so he would fall to a better team(he said Carolina specifically, but I think he just wanted to play for a winner).

But I'm honestly sad to say Jordan Matthews was my favorite and he's turning into a very solid WR with Sanchez throwing to him. He may have made a bigger impact for us lining up alongside Colston.
I REALLY wanted to get him. Would have been the perfect replacement for Colston(with more upside).

If we could have gotten Cooks AND Matthews that would have been a dream.

I wanted Cooks or Odell.

I still believe Cooks is going to end up being one of the best receivers in the league.

this, I thought Landry was more valuable because of his ability to block, however, ODB making those amazing catches in NY (NJ actually) the media will make him the GOAT if he keeps these circus catches up. Cooks will be SaintsGOAT before he is finished.

1 game does not a hero make.

His team didn't even win.

Offensive pass interference helps a lot....

Are you following the NFL at all?

He's averaging about 90 yards/game for the year despite missing a large portion of offseason workouts with injury.

Since the bye (last 4 games), he's averaging 125 yards/game and was the most successful WR against Sherman in years. He played 2 top 5 passing defenses in that stretch too.

Ok? Did you even watch the game?

He looks like a superstar WR already, and he only has 7 games under his belt. He has everything needed to be an elite WR including great route running.

Simple...he was never mocked to us by media outlets or by our own as he was a consensus top 5 pick...I forgot about him being in this draft plus he plays in Buffalo...pretty easy to forget that they even have a NFL franchise

as for Bryant and Brown...I knew I had unintentionally left some off but the ones I listed immediately popped in my head...there will probably even be more that have yet to emerge...Great WR Draft Class.

TERRIBLE CB DRAFT!!! so far in regards to immediate impact players.

Yeah, that's that LSU factor.

This. Also, I didn't even know that Richard Sherman was such an LSU homer, with all the praise.

Watch what Davonte Adams does next year when Randall Cobb leaves the Packers. He hasn't even been mentioned.

Same for Donte' Moncrief when/if Reggie Wayne is done.

I'm still a huge Cooks fan, but for some reason he just seems like he's lacking that fire to go after the ball and fight for yards right now. I'm sure he'll grow out of it though.

You must know that people take the LSU talk on this board personally.

I pimped ODB and Hill. ODB would have been amazing here.
