Arguing against buying a diamond is similar to arguing against legally being married (religion excluded)

Both are poor decisions and shouldn't be done, but you only learn it after it is done.

Gotta make the mistakes. Buying a diamond can't be a worse decision than buying a luxury car.

If you want real wholesale, fly to New York and buy a loose stone in the diamond district. Then find a local jeweler to make the setting.

You go out there willing to buy, you will strike a deal. There are more stones on that one street than anywhere else. LA has one too.

What I meant is he must not be around many women because they love to invest in diamonds, meaning they love them.

3/4 carat...With two small quarter carats on each side....do not go bananas on a ring...If your wife is hung up about an extravagant ring run away now

mistake no, but if you marry a girl that doesnt care about the ring, one is definitely more useful than the other

I love when people think everyone that buys some particular product is making a poor decision. Classic poor man talk. Some people really can afford to drive nice cars and buy a ring with cash that they won't miss.

Had this conversation recently. I dislike colored stones. I don't wear colored clothing, so I definitely wouldn't want a sapphire or anything.

That said, I'd totally rock a lab created diamond or colorless sapphire. Wouldn't have to be a diamond.

For me, the appeal is the clear aspect.

I spent a little over 3K on my wifes ring. The center diamond is .82 and the ring itself has like .75 of diamonds on it as well.

My wife helped me out by having very thin fingers her ring size is a 3.5 So it helps the diamond look bigger haha

Thst doesn't turn it into a smart decision. Just shows more disposable income.
