Of all the wonderful things Reagan did for this country, one of the most unnoticed feats was how he puckered that O2 hole shut after years of Carter's asleep-at-the-wheel ozone policies. Libs will never give him credit however because they will eternally hold a grudge for the way he slammed the door on their commie brethren.

So...if temperatures rise it's due to man and his neglect for Mother Earth.

If temperatures decline it's due to man and his neglect for Mother Earth.

So...this can all be fixed by doing what?

If we give $$$ to our trustworthy government officials we can purchase carbon credits and the problem is solved.

This is just another lie concocted by the left.

Well, my simple plan only requires us as a society to abandon flush toilets and the internal combustion engine. Some may say in a quavering Adam Sandler voice, "But arlo... that would cause the death of billions of people!" but look. We've got to be pragmatic about this situation. If we can save only one degree Celsius...

I'm just pissed that my beach house in East Tennessee has no chance of being utilized. I'll have to cover the windows and install a bigger coal burning heater.

Thanks Al Gore

Environmental responsibility wasn't a left-right issue in 1987. It was signed by a Republican President and ratified by a voice vote in a Democratic Senate. No problem. Not a partisan issue in 1987.

Sorry bro, but the size and extent of the ozone hole above the Antarctic was not realized until May of 1985. Carter wouldn't have even been President then if he had won re-election!LINK
Kudos to Reagan, the Senate, and the world for acting quickly instead of dragging their butts and whining that it can't be so.

We can close a hole.in the ozone, but can not deport people.to their home country or seal our borders. Go figure.

O2 is oxygen gas, brah (at least in the atmosphere -it can be frozen, of couse). Ozone is OO2 ( or O3) a bent molecule, similar to water, but with three oxygen atoms.

I'd say his most unnoticed/underrated achievement was busting up the Bell Telephone monopoly. We might not have this thread if they still controlled access to communications.

Wait, you mean the ball of fire in the sky, which has a volume which is 1.3 million times greater than that of the earth, has a say in global temperatures?

I know. Could you imagine if this was up to George W Bush? Or the current House?

This fellow has never worked as a climatologist and holds no degree in climatology. If his bio is to be taken at face value, his undergrad degree is in Math and Physics from "JSU," whatever that is. His only advanced degree is an MA in Management.

For a group who think most of America are "sheeple," they sure are easily gulled on here.

Not even WUWT will touch this guy. When a guy sets off their scamdar, it's time to run-don't-walk in the opposite direction.

Nor do I. The only time I see him mentioned anymore is when morons pretend like Al Gore's movie is the only 'evidence' ever presented for AGW.
