I live in Shreveport......I know I know .......pimple on the azzhole of the world......BUT.......huge (and I mean huge) LSU support up here. I have talked to hundreds of fans up here over the course of the season and have met 2.....2!!!.....that want to keep miles. Both were old timers, not that that matters but still.
Most of his supporters are on this site apparently!

You do realize that although a significant number of posters here feel the same way, that this sounds absolutely ridiculous, especially to every fan base in the country outside of the state of Alabama

I'll have to Agree to disagree

Expecting/demanding an SEC title and/or national title is ridiculous and irrational, as there are too many variables/breaks that go into that. However, setting a 9-10 win "bar" to meet after a down year is not ridiculous at all IMO, and is very reasonable considering the resources that we have.

Irrational or not, Miles needs to win 9+ games next year or he will be gone.

Not fielding an offense that my 3 year old can scheme against would be a nice start. And QB play that is slight above high school quality would be great too.

We won't be in serious contention for SEC West until both of these issues are addressed. Our defense is awesome, if the offense was simply consistently functional, we would see more SEC W titles. Is a functional offense too much to expect?

This! What we've seen in recent years in terms of offensive philosophy is complete and utter horseshite. A different approach is needed...and I'm not advocating getting totally away from our bread and butter running game. But something's gotta give.

Your 3 year old cannot scheme. Especially if he as the same genes as you two.

In my experiences, Les has more supporters on here than from the fans around me. Your ordinary everyday fan isn't as plugged in or emotionally invested as the folks on here as far as I can tell. Not everybody I know wants him fired, but every fan I know want changes and in a hurry.

Announce his retirement before the A&M game. Team wins last 2 for coach.

Are 7-5, 8-4, 9-3 records worth 4.25 million a year for a HC?

That seems like a bit of over paying

I am a life long passionate LSU football fan. I no longer care to watch the games because I know that nothing will change with our head coach. I wish the team well and still love them but they are boring and I have simply lost interest.

You are right on that lol. Even before this year, very few of my friends and coworkers who are actually college football fans and LSU fans, were "fans" of Miles.

Ole Miss can still win the west and go to the playoffs. Let's not discount that win just yet.

In 2008, Florida went 13-1 and won the BCS National Championship. They had one single loss, and that was to a garbage 9-4 Ole Miss team that had lost to Wake Forest and Vanderbilt. Despite yet another year of disappointing Rebel football, the Ole Miss fanbase actually printed up bumper stickers that said "Ole Miss 31 - National Champs 30" and stuck them to their cars. Everyone else laughed.

Now look at us. We're Ole Miss now. We've already lost 4 games, but we're supposed to be so proud because we managed a win against them? What does it really matter if we discount that win? We've been eliminated from the division and we aren't making the playoffs no matter what happens now. We started SEC play on a two-loss streak and we're now on another two-loss streak with the most recent being a shutout against a team on a 17-loss SEC streak.

Our only SEC wins are against Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Florida on a year where they're so bad they've canned their coach mid-season.

But yeah, let's go right ahead right fricking now and start printing banners that say "Woo! We beat Ole Miss!"

I mean really. We're 1-3 against teams that are in contention for the SEC West. And we're supposed to be happy? Is this what LSU football has become?

Hey, I live in Shreveport and I resent that assholes comment lol, but I think most of the hate for him up here is the non use of Brandon Harris. Bossier is right across the street so I consider it local, but a lot of guys up here love it when somebody does something big.

What does this have to do with what I said exactly?

We are down this year. We knew we were going to be that way before the season started. If you choose to ignore any positives from this season, that's on you.

And we are nothing like Ole Miss. One down year does not make us them.

Nobody suggested this, but great straw man nonetheless.

Oh look, another straw man. Again, no one has said that.
