I'm back in the stand for the evening - last hunt until after thanksgiving. Headed to the in-laws in Arkansas to hunt next week. I Should have hunted the damn ground. Freaking wasps and yellow jackets every where I turn up here and it's so quiet I can't swat the bastards or I make to much racket. Why can't it be cold?

Deacon you need to chill.

I walked into my stand this morning in probably our best spot on our 600 acres

I was so excited to sit with a gun and wait for the sun to come up that I didn't even check for wasps

About 715 this morning I heard a buzz close to my leg and looked down and proceed to kill the wasp that was crawling up it

Then I said "oh fricking shite, it's November" and looked in the corners and mother of Satan had spawned

There were wasps everywhere. Luckily my dad keeps a can of wasp spray in every stand

I slowly opened the door and let God's venom on them

Probably why I didn't see anything but a doe and a couple yearlings

I thought I had it all under control and one came flying in the window and I made a clean cut with the body and head but evidently left the wings on

About 10 minutes later I was looking out the window and felt something on my hand, looked down, and it was a wasp half body

I threw my hands up like acid was on them

Nice shot and even better stock

Hand made? One of these days I will post my dads rifle with his custom left handed thumb hole stock that I won't get because my brother is left handed too

Great deal man. I pretty jealous of your trifecta of coyotes in one after with a bow because I've never killed one, ever

I killed my first deer(with a bow) and first pig (ever, with a bow) on the same afternoon

I'm rustling so many jimmies on the bama board

Yall carry on hunting and good luck

My post

quote:

I guess what I'm saying is I don't read all the threads on this board (and rarely click on them) and don't follow every single player on our roster (and fricking lol at the recruiting threads) and their stats day in and day out.

No need to rustle any jimmies in here, I'm out to discuss and read something I can actually make a difference with. That's hunting right now and fishing in the future

In lock on after mega nap. 18 ducks this morn, hoping to see resident scrub 8 pt early enough to shoot and get out of this swarm of Mosquitos.

Haha nice

So yeah I had a coyote come out today and I got greedy wanting the broadside shot and instead never shot him when I could have shot his face at 80yds

Tangipahoa parish, I am in my new box stand I built this year, the wind isn't in my favor but ole well. I've got a food plot and a corn feeder.

In a ladder stand, waiting on my first bow kill, and listening to the neighbors do what sounds like sighting in their rifle! Just one blast after another. I hope they don't ruin this for me.

Another wasp down. I think that's #5. I'm starting to question my decision to stay in this stand.

Yeah my uncle has a log splitter running about 800 yards away, I hope that doesn't ruin my afternoon.
