I mentioned Cote Sud to her and she seemed happy, thinking maybe LPG now though. Any other French joints that I should consider? Choice between the two?

Completely different restaurants. LPG is one of the better places in town.. I really like Cote Sud for what it is. Straight bistro, nothing fancy. cote Sud only takes cash or checks.

She seemed to like the Cote Sud menu. We don't so this often, and I'm craving tartare, so we may should do the nicer place.

Coquette had 3 killer sounding tartares on the menu as of Sunday night, fyi. Meat + fish. Also the kitchen is firing on all cylinders right now.

Their menu looks good. Just large and small plates?

Underrated and occasionally receives undeserved criticism.

That said. I would go to LPG in a mf'ing heartbeat over Cote Sud.

LPG over Cote Sud. I still see that place as Ciros pizza.

Love lpg. Wife and I split over there whenever we can. Love to sit at bar, have a few cocktails and just order a bunch of stuff. Enjoy

Cote Sud is great if you're in the mood for French food.

We went through all of the menus and it looks like Cote Sud is her top choice. She wants French food. I think she just like reading the menu in French. Oh well, I picked the spots on our last date night.

You should also consider Cafe Degas, which is a great french bistro.
