If they've made this even half as good as The Ten Commandments was, which I'm betting they have, then it'll be really good. Looking forward to it!

Christian Bale > Charleton Heston

I'm far from a holy roller, but it looks ridiculous and completely non-biblical. That being said, i can take things at entertainment value and I have no interest in seeing it.

This. The story of the Exodus, even to the non-religious, is a fascinating story wraught with violence, political intrigue, cateclism, bold dialogue, ect. It really doesn't need to be embellished much relative to the source material. It's already a complete story. The toughest decisions, in my opinion, would be in regards to when to end the story. Exodus is great, but those next 3 books of wandering around the desert for 3 years while making 3 books worth of laws is extremely anticlimactic.

Bale was good, not great. Sreen-play was mediocre. Joel Edgerton as Ramses was phenomenal. Nice to have a solid Christian movie out that is not cheesy and stars what's his name. It was a lot like the original (with better graphics)... I'd give Heston's performance as Moses the nod over Bale though...

I don't know about anyone else, but to me, that quote comes across as extremely arrogant.

It's 2 hours 22 minutes. It was allegedly 200 minutes but they must be saving that for the far superior Director's Cut (Kingdom of Heaven).

And this is my problem with Hollywood. You know the extended cut is going to quash most hate for the movie. KoH is the best example

And if they were confident in it, they'd put it out on Christmas Day. Might be wrong about that.

They are releasing it the same day as the final Hobbit movie, which is expected to gross around $1 billion worldwide. Both are epics. I would say that is pretty confident and ballsy.

I'm looking forward to it, though I may wait to see it on Blu Ray. Ridley Scott does Sword and Sandals movies very well. Though Bale does not have the gravitas of Charlton Heston, so I do not expect it to be as good as Ten Commandments.

Mr. Bale (Batman, Bateman - weird) - "Sir", I grew up with Chuck Heston. I knew Chuck Heston. Chuck Heston was a friend of mine. Sir, you're no Chuck Heston.

All I can say is do not believe the negative reviews... It's a good movie... If it wasn't Christian it would be getting better reviews

Didn't Bale and Scott go to great lengths to say it wasn't Christian. And most of the reviews I've seen said it didn't live up to the bible story.

Just saw it. I thought it was a good movie. Bale could've done better, but the guy who played Rameses (can't recall his name, but he was in Gatsby too) was amazing. It is a CGI fest, but good movie overall.
