quote:

"Yesterday was a very different topic, Keystone, and that fight is over for now," Landrieu said Wednesday. "But the fight for foster care children and all children in the world who are in desperate need of parents to love them and to nurture them goes on." Landrieu and her husband, Frank Snellings, have two adopted children.

Of all the reasons to clown her...

Are you really trying to disparage this message? This particular one?

She does have two adopted kids. It's not like this is just some random issue she brought up for sympathy. I would bet she has a pretty good idea how this election is going to turn out.

Your reaction is exactly what she hopes happens. Everything that family does is calculated. This is just one more thing

It may be near and dear to her heart, but it smacks of rank politics.

pretty sure he is clowning her because she's trying to catch onto any remnant of a life raft as she circles the drain.

How does she fit all these adopted kids in Moon's basement?

My reaction is what exactly?

Not kicking her for no reason after she's already down and buried?

She's toast. Cassidy is a family acquaintance, and I'm thrilled with the impending election result.

I just don't get the obsession with the play by play as her congressional corpse twitches to its final demise. But I also don't have the rabid hatred (anymore) for pols like many here do, so maybe that's where I don't get it.

Speaking from the POV of someone who has seen her since before she became Senator, I had been waiting for her to get tossed since 1996 when it became clear she stole the runoff against Jenkins.

Seeing her flail like this is satisfying because Team Cassidy has kept their foot on the gas and will flatten her, helping kill off the career of one of the last Dems able to win a statewide office.

While the effort is noble.....it's an 11th hour desperate attempt.

I have a friend.....former chief of staff for a senator....who said that Mary would read the NYT editorial page to decide what issues were the most important to take up.

I have NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER that y'all will eventially take over forever. Your voters procreate a lot faster than mine, not to mention y'all are avidly recruiting South and Central Americans into the pool.

Your grandchildren will not be better off for it.

You are an embarrassment. Should she quit work because she is a lame duck? I commend her......

After January she can quit working. Right now, we are still paying her salary.

I'd consider it a more accurate description of current "trends" then your personal opinion or antecdote?

Remember, she will run for Vitter's seat, if he gets elected Governor.

To bring it up at this point in time???

Yes, it's pandering for sympathy and to let everyone know how wonderful she thinks she is because she adopted some kids.
