I have a friend who owns about 400 acres in south Texas. He comes here and I take him fishing, I go there and hunt.

I co-jointly own 630+ acres in SE Alabama with my 4 cousins that our grandparents left us. Only my cousin's husband hunts the land as well as me.

When I hear other peoples' stories about losing leases due to sale of the land or other issues, I am thankful every time I am sitting in a stand for Grandaddy leaving the land to us. Never take it for granted. We may not have the biggest deer in the world, but I enjoy every acre we have.

I own 40 that is surrounded by Desoto NF, but lease it out.
I am in a club in AR with a 1000+ acre lease hunted by 11, 10 paying members and a local caretaker. I see way more deer in SE Arkansas than I ever did in SE Mississippi. Dues are $750, plus $100/camper hookup.

My family has around 2000 acres in Greene County, AL. I also hunt 500 acres in Tate County, MS owned by a friend's dad. The only time I ever hunted public land was when I was in law school at UF.

Amen. I hunt the old family farm (860ac) in McNairy Co, TN. 25 acres of organic produce that my hippy, non-hunting cousin raises keep deer and turkeys piled up on the place and eliminates the need for most food plots. The rest is mixed pine and hardwood timber on the hills & ridges. It is pretty awesome. Need to hire some Mennonites to put up a cabin at some point, so I can move out of the camper we have there. There's already a good well and septic from the old farm house. I will probably retire there at some point.

I used to hunt some at a buddy's family place in McNairy County not far from Adamsville. It was a really good turkey spot
