Picked this up the other day.
Right now I'm planning on adding a this

Also planning eventually to add a removal platform and bowfishing lights or just lights and a removable ice/fishbox that doubles as a couple feet more of front deck. What must haves would y'all add?

Auto inflate PFD's. Really

A good push pole and mounted brackets.

Good hand held spot light as back up.

Couple of those plastic ammo cans for dry storage.

If it's tapped into your power source add a specified outlet and fuse correctly, those things draw. LED's might be doable now, don't know.

Yeah, if he wants to move 20 feet just crank it up and muddy the water.

All great suggestions, thanks.

This makes four boats I own but it's my first mudboat. I have most of this stuff already. I plan to use it for hunting, bowfishing, maybe frog hunting and who knows what else once I get into it. But having never been around mudboats I'm looking for those items that a mud boat newbie wouldn't be aware of.

Nice boat man. I've got lights on the front, a 12v, a pirogue rack, and a poling platform on mine. Really just comes down to what you're going to mainly use it for and what you want.

Spare key. Hose clamps. Extra spark plugs ....etc. I tear all kinds of cosmetic shite up running under trees and through thickets. Lost 1 key to a tree limb. And a jumping jack broke my other key off in ignition. I replaced key switch with toggle switches and a push button.

Those inflatable PFD's are money when running and working a mud boat due to night time running.

Mostly hunting flooded timber and some hunting and bowfishing the marsh.

Make a list for this one even if you're young, things slip by you at first. Better to scratch off the list than forget anything. Especially if you're moving stuff from boat to boat.

For sure, we got a warning for no throwable in one boat because we had left it in another boat. Swapping stuff back and forth don't work.

the most important thing is NON-ethanol gasoline. By all means necessary, do not run regular gas through that sucker. Also, you mentioned you were a mubboat newbie, so familiarize yourself with Seafoam fuel stabilizer and make it your friend.

Accessories? Perhaps a removable pop up blind for duck hunting to start? What is your primary use for this boat? Bowfishing?

I like Seadek foam pads (or aqua turf) for the bow area, they come in camo and are easily cut to size. Last a long time.

We are about to add some led strip lighting around the inside cabin area. It's supposedly the witches tits and won't blind you while driving.

nice rig man.

Thank you, will probably relocate the winch currently on my 4wheeler that isn't running.

I burn ethanol free in everything but my trucks. Need more info on this Sea Foam stuff.

Boat had Hydro turf installed in it.

LED strips are definitely nice. I'd probably go with red or green as I've noticed these colors don't affect your night vision as bad as white light does.

You should get enough safety equipment for each boat to have their own stuff, nothing worse than forgetting something critical in the other boat.

Get the safety stuff first, the rest is lagniappe.

And you don't really need the light unless you are running in tight places.
