After reading those letters from the Asia girl, something just seems off about her offer to help, to me. Almost like she was offering to do it for attention, but the fact that no attorney talked to her seems stupid.
Or did they not follow up on the library alibi because the original story was that Adnan killed Hae in the library parking lot? Maybe Adnan admitted to his attorney that he killed her near the library? She's dead now so Adnan can completely deny everything again.

I'd like to say I know one way or the other, but it's just not that easy. Jay is a fricking liar though and the "If he didn't, who did?" line pissed me off. frick that guy.

After demonstrating that it was important for her to have his number, why would Adnan not attempt to contact her in the days following her disappearance as they were supposedly staying friends unless he knew she was dead?
This part is the most damning evidence against Adnan to me. If a girl you loved went missing, you would be trying to call them every hour of the day.

Not necessarily. They had broken up which usually follows with long bouts of silence. Plus, not calling someone after they've gone missing as an implication of guilt is a stretch for circumstantial evidence, let alone anything remotely reliable.

Jay is suspect as frick.
I'm only about halfway through the latest episode. I started listening when the pilot came out, and found that I'll blow through the episodes too quickly. I've started stretching them out throughout Thursday and Friday to make 'em last.

Didn't he (or one of her friends) say in one episode that he thought she'd gone off to California to see her dad or something?
Also, he mentioned that even if he wasn't calling her, he was right with the friends who were calling. It wasn't like today's day and age where everyone has a phone.

Has anyone found a pic of Jay yet? When I was listening to Episode 8, I kept getting the impression that he looked like if a Hot Topic threw up on Lenny Kravitz.
I picture Jay as a darker Shane Hammink. Don't ask me why.

It'll be wrapped up with some corny saying from SK about not being able to remember the past and Adnan will stay in jail.
No doubt.
What struck me about the last few episodes is how incompetent Adnan's attorney comes off. I mean, shite, all she had to do was plant doubt in the jury's head. Instead, she tried to make Jay admit he did it. The frick was she thinking? And she was apparently a 'highly sought after' attorney?

I think that's what she was trying to do by getting Jay to admit that he lied to police on multiple occasions while under oath in front of the jury. Having the witness to admit to be a liar is a good way to plant doubt, doesn't seem to have worked though. And I think that had to do with demographics...white attorney badgering a black kid that comes off as likable in front of a mostly black jury.

That attorney was a fricking joke
As for not calling hae, he knew she was missing and he wasn't allowed to call her home so where would he call her?

That whole scream at Jay deal was absurd.

I've really enjoyed this series. The one piece of information that I can't believe they didn't research is that Adnan supposedly was in the library checking his email. Wouldn't there be a record of him signing into his email account at a specific time? Seems like that is the first thing I would have had checked if I'd have been the defense lawyer.

That's the only thing you can't believe?

Remember that this happen in 1999.

Nails on a fricking chalkboard. No wonder Adnan got sent up river.

The podcast checked with the library. They didn't have anything from 1999, for obvious reasons.
And the defense attorney screwed the pooch on multiple fronts, including looking for records like this. She's either completely incompetent, or Adnan confessed to her that he did it, and she tried to throw as much doubt at the case as she could.

I found episode 5 and 7 tougher to get through, but necessary for the bigger picture.
