Gilmour for me.

Both are extremely talented, but Gilmour took the band into the future while Waters insists on hanging onto The Wall (which is great of course).

Tranny Reynolds,

How can you call this Germans? Pink Floyd/Gilmour/Waters is always a good topic for discussion, especially when Floyd just released their first album in over 20 years.

In all seriousness Richard Wright was the unsung hero of Pink Floyd. His early to mid 70s synth work was fricking fantastic. An all-timer.

Hats off to Roy Harper for vox on Have a Cigar

Gilmour. One of the biggest influences for me as far as guitar goes. His solos are as tasteful as it gets. The guy just has such a feel for his playing.

Team Both

It's not Pink Floyd without both Waters and Gilmour. Waters was the creative mind behind the concepts and hence most of the lyrics. But Gilmour plays with so much feel that nobody else can quite replicate it. However, if you put a gun to my head I'd say Waters. I've seen post-Waters PF and I've seen Waters play DSotM and The Wall. Waters sounded more like Floyd than Floyd did without him.
