Do any of you OT ballers play golf with your wife? My wife wants me to teach her how to play but I don't want anything to do with her playing golf with me. Golf is my getaway where my friends and I bitch about how annoying our wives are.

I did the same thing with golf as I did with hunting with my wife. Took her and made it absolutely miserable, even spent a couple hundred on a cheap set for her at Academy to show her my excitement she wanted to join me. Went to the range a couple of times and the course once. She couldn't hit the ball, wouldn't listen to my criticism and hasn't asked to go again. WIN!

Well golf has two main rules:

1) No talking
2) You stay in the car

its one thing if she's decent and played before you met her. But frick teaching some broad how to play. Talk about frustrating......

My wife has a set of clubs, but she's not good enough to play on the course. We occasionally do the driving range.

I enjoy being around my wife, so I don't mind sharing some of my hobby time with her.

I go to the golf course to avoid her, not spend quality time

If you teach your wife to play golf then she will realize it only takes 4 hours to play and she will wonder what you have been doing for the other 3 hours. The correct answer is drinking and playing cards.

I tried to teach her how to snowboard and that didn't go so well. It's like teaching a cat how to bark.

Distract her with romance. I suggest you offer the equivalent of what it would cost to teach her, buy her clubs and the mental anxiety it would cause you and take her on a romantic getaway.
