yep and they only buttons i use on it is the +30 second and start.

Always. I once saw someone let it beep 4 times with their hand on the door waiting till the beeping quit before they opened the door.

If I can. Our microwave is kind of old so sometimes the beep goes weird and becomes more of a screech.
