Modern cast iron is just as good as old cast iron. It's all the same material, after all

Easiest way to overcome with is with a tiger disc and some elbow grease. Smooth it out

Good article though. So much misinformation on cast iron that is easily disproven by owning some

I dunno, I love my Dutch oven, and I think it's decades old. Cast iron is durable and awesome.

You have obviously never heated cast iron up enough. It has hot spots, especially on smaller burners

Cast iron has its place. It is never my first choice for eggs, but is for bacon and eggs.

Pancakes are freaking awesome when done correctly in cast iron.

I use a little Dawn nice in a while. Wipe it and put in a warm oven to dry. Mine are all well seasoned.
