Yesterday and this morning my Facebook newsfeed has been flooded with black friends already bashing Dr. Carson.

"coon", "not connected with African America roots", "sellout", "another Clarence Thomas", "used to look up to him but not after this", etc

.... That didn't take long

Well things have got worse for blacks these last 6 years. Who else are they going to blame?

Only a fool would think he's any less of a black man just because he's not a Democrat.

You'd have to be blind not to see the problems caused and perpetuated by the endless supply of politicians and self-proclaimed Civil Rights Activists who are Democrats first, black men second. Carson breaks the mold, and his extensive success in a very complex field is admirable.

It'll be interesting to see how the white media handles him. I know he won't get the love Obama did, but i cant see them totally bashing a black guy. Media is terrified of anything that can be construed as racism.

The hypocrisy of some people in the black community is staggering. If he had a (D) behind his name, he would be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

They're actually college grads from LSU, Nicholls, Southern Law... thought they'd be better than that.

A microcosm of the current political climate. Race baiting has gotten out of control the past couple years.

Thanks, Obama.

You'd be surprised at the number of educated black people who somewhat secretly hold on to some ignorant views like you mentioned.

It's like they are afraid of being a "sellout".

Oh its easy. Seen it all my life. The MSM doesn't have to say sh!t. Its all in who they invite as experts to discuss him. As in Jesse, Sharpton, Maxine waters etc. You see they say nothing but let others do the bashing.

Work is done.

Having met a few Southern Law grads, I think you should have known better.

I don't think that opinion is widespread among educated blacks. I know it exists though.

Being a republican with a long and wildly successful career in medicine doesn't make Carson less of a black man.

You will know a Southern Law grad in an instant because of their repeated use of "Esquire"

You are naive. Look at the feminists reaction to Clinton accusers. At best, they sat on their hands. At worst, they joined in with the jeering.

These so-called "marginalized" groups just dont seem to understand that they are being used. Racism, sexism, bigotry....the left doesnt give a shite about that anymore than they did the privacy/freedom/anti-establishment causes they espoused 30-40 years ago. They only care when they can be used as a political weapon. If Clinton's presidency didnt show you that, the last 6 years of NDAA/phone taps/snowden should.

No, being a neurosurgeon isn't selling out. Speaking highly of a Republican is.

Just another example... when the Trayvon and Michael Brown fiascos happened, all of a sudden even smart black people turned into idiots and all logic and impartiality went out the window. They didn't wait for the facts or even care about the truth.

They weren't interested in the truth. They joined the mob of people and had no interest in what actually happened.

the only way for a black man to get ahead in this country is to get rid of all the black men.
