He calls it the "Black Hole Index".

Definitely a better metric but I didn't look at any of this all that closely before posting.

Can't blame some of those guys on shitty teams but no excuse for EG. Like I said before. He's the guy out there playing pickup games with 4 guys who are friends. He gets the ball and won't give it back because he's afraid he won't touch it again. So he chunks it up

The names on that list aren't bad company...if you're scoring 20+ per game.

I understand we have to pay him. But don't let him play make him clean the arena after games

I agree with your analogy. He looks like he's running his own offense out there when he gets the ball.

Or he just doesn't get the ball at all. That would ruin this stat for him.

12th in passes per touch is still terrible

Kobe passes the ball less than half of the times he touches it, is anyone surprised by this?

Yep. If you spend 90% of the game waiting for Evans to give up the rock, you're going to be more likely to shoot it every chance you get.

Does anyone track ball possession per minute played?

The only good way to look at this stat would be to compare it to touches per minute ratio. If you play a ton of minutes but never see the ball, obviously you're going to look bad.

You're obsessed with Evans being a ball hog, but that's how he does what he does. He's a battering ram for opposing defenses. Determining when and when not to deploy the battering ram is on Monty, but having one is a good thing. And last year he sat Tyreke after he hogged the ball too much and that's not the first player Monty has benched for selfish play.

I call it like I see it. His usage is higher than AD and that is stupid.

Piss off AD?

A guy shooting under 40% from the field should not have a top 15 usage rate. His saving grace this far is he has hit his 3s. I hope he keeps it up or Monty will need to break him down sooner than later.

This is a fact, I think the guy is good don't get me wrong, but this offense would be much better if it ran through AD and not through the perimeter.

Not that I am aware of. But you can go on NBA.com and see TOP for each player.

Holiday 5.8 MPG
Evans 4.2
Rivers 3.5
Davis 1.7
Gordon 1.2
Anderson .9
Asik .9

They also do Touches per Game

Evans 72
Holiday 69
Davis 58
Anderson 45
Asik 45
Rivers 38
Gordon 30

Last year Gordon was at 42 Touches per Game for 2.1 TOP. He's being used differently so far this season
