That's what all the Lefties have been saying since the last election.

I'm so confused now.

This might be it's last chance. They need to make very good use of these next 2 years. That means not fighting the battles of the prior 6.

The sad part is that these election swings are never the result of the party out of power presenting better ideas than the other party. They generally take place because the party in power was so dismal in fulfilling their responsibilities to the American people.

I'm not one of those who think both parties are the same. There's a differnce between the GOP and dems. Just not as big a difference as I would want.

What's the Matter?

Are you a sore loser?

Ever since Oduma was elected in 2012 the Lefties have been having their attack the Right circle jerk party claiming that the Republican Party was dead and buried.

Can it be that the Left is actually wrong about something?

This is the absolute truth and its apparent simply by looking at the political ads in the last few elections. There are no ideas being espoused, the sole message is anti-Obama, anti-Bush......but what I REALLY think it is a reflection of is anti-Washington , anti-congress. And I dont mean anti big-government, I mean I think you'll see more turnover of the party in power as a simple reflection of the fact that our government is failing us in almost every regard right now.

Yep. Listening to interviews of voters on TV whose reasoning is basically 'I don't like Obama. They aren't Obama.' Hearkens back to previous elections in which the campaign platform was 'I don't like Bush. They aren't Bush.'

Frustrating for those who don't identify as either Dem or Rep.

If you like fresh ideas and smaller government, last night wasn't much of a victory.

agreed. I haven't heard much about a rational flat tax, reducing gov't benefits, reducing regulation, or any real plan...just hating on Obama (which is valid of course).

what I've been hearing from Republicans is that Obama is TERRIBLE, but we'll keep doing the exact same thing, just not quite as much of it.

The Republican party has been resuscitated thanks to the abysmal failures of the Democratic party.

I'd love this. May have to settle for constant gridlock/nothing being done

Right now I just like the fact that the Democratic Party got its arse whipped.

It helps me live with the fact that UGA got its arse whipped by Florida.

When they were crowing about 2012, some of us warned them that this would happen. Some thought the Repubs were dead, but history showed that this would happen. Cycle will continue, so victories are short lived.

It's not necessarily a good thing IMO, because nothing changes and it promotes party stagnation.
