I went today for lunch and just ate a bunch of samples plus various items out of the bins on the self served nut aisle all while sipping on the free water.

I had their dry-aged ribeye last night. It was heavenly.

I know, right? It's the best steak in town.

I only swing in there every few months to get a few slices of pepperoni pizza. Similar to a New York style and reasonably priced.

Other than that, they can kiss my arse.

I've been to WF 3 times this week already. People can sit here and say blah blah whay whay about the prices but they just have items you can't get anywhere else. I eat lunch on the regular at WF and it's cheaper than most places in my lunch rotation.

That dry aged is unbeatable. They sent some pretty sweet coupons recently, but they will still come out ahead.

Same here. Great salad bar, about 6 or 7 soup choices, and the hot food bar has decent/good protein options (fish, Greek meatloaf, etc).

The price is based on the weight of your box of food. I can get a combination of the above items for less than $9 including tax. Hard to beat that, in terms of freshness and nutritional value.

Yep.

Of course, if you do your regular grocery shopping there, it is going to be more expensive than wherever you normally go, but WF definitely has its place for me.

They have a decent beer selection, which is nice when I'm not around Cuban or Calandros. They are the ONLY store in town with the vast cheese selection, which is something I buy a good bit. Their prepared meals are good in a pinch; they do a family size marinara penne that's like $7 (that is cheaper than a darn Stouffer's). Pizza is good. Sandwiches are good. Etc.

Only issue I ever have with WF is that the one is BR stays packed, especially in the prepared foods section. And that's not even really an issue. Just me being a people-hater.

Have you been to a WF? More than half of the store is stocked with things you aren't getting at Winn Dixie.

I did the reverse sear for the first time and it came out amazing. Used the method on my wife's filet and she was loving it. Brought it up to 120* in the oven. Carry over temp got to 129*. Seared for 1.5 minutes each side and it was perfect.

I am a fan of the reverse sear now.
