About a month ago at a football game my buddy buys a hotdog and drink. Being at a sporting event it costs about $12. He hands the guy a 20 and the person behind the counters hands him back $18. My friend doesn't say anything and I called him out for this. Told him he had bad karma coming his way. What would you do if you were my friend?

Big freaking deal. Concessions at games are overpriced. If you can catch a break take one.

Definitely give the money back and told the guy he made a mistake.

I give it back and hope one day when I screw up someone will bail me out.

Concessions turn over enough profit that those $10 won't matter.
Good for him for being lucky. He obviously had good karma coming his way

I was at a Saints game and the same thing happened to me buying beer. Got 16 bucks back instead of 4. Took my change and beers and hightailed it out of there.

If he noticed it immediately he should have given it back. If it was way after the fact, not much he could do.

Give the money back because the price to flip my "unethical douche" switch is a lot higher than 10 bucks.

Same situation happened to me at LSU game a couple weeks ago. Got a popcorn and water. Dude looks back at the board to check prices. I hand him a $20. Seeing his confusion I tell him the total is $11. He proceeds to grab a calculator and to figure out price difference. He hands me $15 back. I just look at him, grab my popcorn and water, and turn and walk away.

The concessions at some sporting events are manned by non-profits that get some of the money. If you take the money from them that's basically stealing from a charity.

This isn't even a dilemma, intentionally taking advantage of this is stealing.

I had walked out of Academy with a small package of those lil tiny flashlight batteries in my denim shirt pocket. My kid handed me something to look at and I just placed them in there. When I got home I noticed them when I took off my shirt. I figured I'll mention it to customer service next time in there. The cost was about $5.
