1. Houston over Philadelphia
2. Arizona over Dallas

Those are the biggest two in getting the Saints closer to a #2 seed.

3. St. Louis over San Francisco
4. Oakland over Seattle

Bonus losses if they come, highly unlikely however. Would at least like to see a lot of big hits against San Francisco to soften them up for next week.

5. Cleveland over Tampa Bay

Want Cleveland to stay in the hunt because to challenge Carolina later in the season.

6. Minnesota over Washington

Currently control tie breaker over Minnesota.

7. Indianapolis over New York (Monday)

Put New York against the ropes of elimination.

8. Baltimore over Pittsburgh

Normally AFC vs. AFC dose not matter but Baltimore over Pittsburgh could send Pittsburgh into a tailspin and that is our hardest game remaining. But I am just hoping for a very physical game to wear each other down.

I don't give a shite what seed we are. As long as we win the NFC South we will host a playoff game. That means we will probably at least make it to the divisional round.

At that point, anything can happen. Turnovers, penalties. lucky shite.

No reason to abandon hope yet. The Saints have played a great 2.75 games over their last 3.

If the Packers win the North, we have decent shot at the #2 seed.

So what you're saying is...

1. All AFC teams to beat NFC teams
2. Tampa Bay to lose
3. Arizona to beat Dallas
4. STL to beat SF

okay.

You could really make this much easier and say..
AFC to beat NFC (naturally)

That's kind of shortsighted. If we get 2 seed we host the divisional Rd which gives us great chance of making it to championship game. Or even hosting it. I really think that 11 wins or maybe even 10 like in 06 gets the 2 depending on the breakers.

we're 2.5 games back of 3 teams fighting over the top 2 seeds (Arizona 6-1, Dallas 6-2 & Detroit 6-2) and 1.5 games back of another that's in the hunt (Philly 5-2)... along w/ 1 game back of another (GB 5-3)

that's a lot of room to make up... let's just focus on our own deal... winning the next 3 at home

3. St. Louis over San Francisco

Expect St. Louis to keep this very close, especially what happened last time these two teams met. Their pass rush has finally started to catch up to them.

4. Oakland over Seattle

I think this will be a lot closer than people expect. Seattle has really struggled this season on both sides of the ball compared to last season. The only bright spot for them has been Russell Wilson really.

2. Arizona over Dallas

This game is going to be awesome. I know Romo isn't playing, but imagine how crazy it will be the next week if Weeden puts up a big game. He fits much better into this system than he did at Cleveland, and he has a lot of help from Murray, so it should be a good game. That and Arizona's secondary is awful this year.

5. Cleveland over Tampa Bay

Biggest game for TB. If they win, they will gain A LOT of confidence. If they lose, I think they'll quit on the season and get blown out the rest of the games.

7. Indianapolis over New York (Monday)

NY doesn't even stand a chance here. Why do they put this shite on MNFB?

quote:

6. Minnesota over Washington

Washington is going to win this. Minnesota is horrible this year.

quote:

8. Baltimore over Pittsburgh

My money is on Pittsburgh. Big Ben and the run game are going to put a huge dent on Baltimore's defense I think.

Sorry for my rambling.

I agree, let's take it one week at a time...

But that said, things worked out pretty well today all things considered.
