We have been together since I was in college. It's not like it's something that was sprung on her. I was raised by an alcoholic mom that has a family history of alcoholics.

I've never denied that I am... But I know what sets me off and I can control it for the most part.

Do you just turn into an a-hole when you drink and claim you "blacked out" to get away from the consequences?

You sound like a pussy.

You need to stop drinking. It will be better for you, your health, and your current/future relationships.

Just because your family has a history of alcoholism doesn't mean you need to carry it on with you and your future family.

I sounds like that "it's not effecting other parts of my life" thing isn't going so well today

Too bad you are one, and an idiot to boot. No woman will put up with this for an extended period of time. A human cannot survive on interaction with alcohol alone. Wake up and grow up.

I don't know how one does this. I drank a fifth of Woodford Reseve in 3.5 to 4 hours, when I was younger and dumber, and remember that night very well. Freaking lightweight.

What are the odds you are going to drive to the next one? How many times a week do you drive drunk?

I'm not really an emotional person. I mean I miss her but I'm not losing any sleep over this.

Yeah. No one wants to buy into those kinds of genetics, especially with that air of bullshite bravado.

Ok, so continue drinking your life away until it affects your personal life (again), your career, and your future.

Have any DWIs to your name yet? Those are buckets of fun.

Say good riddance to her. You don't need a woman who won't be there for you, watching your back during your few times of excess. She should help you through it and get up early enough to have breakfast waiting on you in the morning. Have another drink, it is obviously not meant to be.

This is what I do, but sometimes I run into friends that want to do shots and it's all down hill from there.
