Nice buck and shot AU

Hampton, AR
72 with a SW breeze
Ground blind in a strip of oaks
Obsession Evolution

All 3 of the cams I checked had daylight pictures of bucks yesterday. Most were younger, but it's about to get good in south AR.

I'm still trying to figure out where you shot that doe... High and in the spine?

Suprisingly it was a bit tough to pick up at first. I knew I might have an issue with it at the shot because the arrow hit and after a wild ,hip swinging mule kick he took a hard right turn, then a hard left and over a 4-5 ft blowdown oak. Looked like Barry Sanders hitting a crease and juking a LB at the same time.
Of course at the end trail it looked like a massacre as he did a circle before hitting the dirt for good.
Worst thing is that every other leaf, out of the millions on the ground, had those damn red dots on them .

Heading to Ga. next week for my annual pre-rut hunt in Harris County.
Hopefully the good luck holds out and I can have a meeting with one about two generations older than this fella.

But all in all a wonderful morning to have spent in the woods our Creator made for us to enjoy

Lol at spikes. Funny to think how in just a few short years that same deer will turn into a frickin ghost.
