Sorry for my tardiness but before i could fire off an IST post the woods awoke to grunting and running deer this morning.
Rut's on in Upstate, SC

Buck number four by the tree sadly passed from a case of acute lung disease, ala Grim Reaper.

Not a monster but the shot made this one worthy I believe.

Wind from everywhere
Setup near a swamp chestnut oak and water oak. Looking for meat

You know those days where nothing seems right? Tree I picked to climb is egg shaped and has a dog leg in it right where my sitting height is.

Setup is uncomfortable as hell but I'm soaking wet and not moving.

Wind forecast was totally off. Wind is swirling bad.

But, I'm alive and hunting so it could be worse. Heading home tonight so last hunt here until rifle season.
