Pretend you're a Hollywood filmmaker, and you get a script about sports fans!

Like the title says, you're a big-time filmmaker in Hollywood, and someone brings you a script for a movie about over-the-top sports fans around ten years ago. The script summary calls for fans to:
1) Kill each other over a game in which their team lost.
2) Vandalize a rival team's property and call into a radio show to brag about doing it.
3) Attack rival fans in the stands.
4) Physically assault helpless, incapacitated fans in public.
5) Buy autographs and give free merchandise to athletes and post pictures of them online.
6) Has parents in it who refuse to attend their daughter's wedding in order to attend a game?
(Disclaimer: All of these really happened)
As this imaginary filmmaker, what is your reaction to the script? Do you...
1)...Laugh and throw the script away, thinking it's too over-the-top, and nobody would believe one fan base would do all these things? Especially female fans?
2)...Throw the script away, because you think it's about soccer fans, and movies about crazed soccer fans don't sell well in the USA?
3)...Accept the script and cast the film as a comedic farce along the lines of Dumb and Dumber?
WWYD?

Black Comedy. I'd even toss in a love story.

Would they be siblings or just first cousins?

I honestly wonder what kind of life some of you people live.
Ten years ago, if someone from the future....way before Updyke ever thought of poisoning a tree...had told me all of these things would really happen, and all from the same fan base, I would have just shaken my head in amazement.
I'm not sure I would have believed it all.

Say what? Where else have you heard that about a fan base...one singular fan base, mind you...where all that happened?
That's why I brought up the "soccer fan" comparison. Because that's the only group of fans with similar stories.
Mind you, I left out a few incidents because they involved children. As we speak, there is an escaped con on the lam taunting police with "Roll Tide!" tweets.
Truth.

Covered that. Edit: I said "ten years ago" for a reason.

We live different lives then. And I've never heard of another group of fans who all support the same team all doing shite like that. I wouldn't have believed it then, and I still have a hard time believing it now.

ok so my answer is: dont throw it away, because it IS about soccer fans, and it's a good fricking movie
