Thursday night NFL games done on CBS??

Why? The NFL Network has the Thursday night games EXCLUSIVELY for the rest of the season. Why would CBS only share the first 7 weeks of games? Why not the whole year? Makes no sense to me. Just wondering if anyone knows why CBS thursday games are done?

Because that was the contract length. It was only for this one season also.

Goodell is inventing new ways to stick it to Saints fans....the first week TNF is not on CBS is the Saints game.

I think you have it backwards. NFL owns the games. CBS only gets to televise what they pay for.

It looks like it will be on WWL in New Orleans, but not on local tv in Baton Rouge

The NFL Network is still fighting to get on basic cable in a lot of important markets.
They would never give their entire schedule to CBS. TNF has always been and always will be about creating an artificial 8-week demand for a cable network that we don't really need.
