he auditioned for SNL multiple times and during their shite 80s years. Whoever their casting director was missed a ton of talent

She's currently my celebrity crush and I don't like it. I think it's because the girl I'm closest to right now is pretty much the love child of Paris Hilton and Iggy Azalea.

I noticed that too. It made me wonder if this is his last season, so they want to get as much out of him as they can.

Yeah I think the writers see his potential. And he's young, so he's probably willing to do anything they throw at him.

You can tell the better hosts by the amount of time they put in with the writers. Carry supposedly pretty much spent the entire week shacked up at 30 Rock on the 17th floor with the writers. Same thing Timberlake, Goodman and Baldwin and other excellent hosts do. On top of that Jim Carrey is easily the best ever sketch comedian that Lorne Passed on.
He carried "In Living Color" even as the token white guy.
It would be awesome if there were ever an "all star" sketch show.

Weekend Update has been killing it lately. Drunk Uncle was my favorite skit of the night.

See, I was coming here to post that the new Weekend Update dudes are pretty terrible. I don't know if they're just not comfortable or what, but it's not good. And what sucks is that the things they're saying are funny, it's just that the delivery is awful.

I liked the Carrey family reunion sketch, and the Lincoln commercials are fantastic. shite, I even thought the cemetary sketch was decent.

I really dig Carrey when he hosts SNL though...it's one of the few times I try to either record the show or watch it online.

I think Colin Joste is pretty great at it. I know a lot of people whined about him when he replaced seth meyers (one of the best IMO), but I think Jost can carry Weekend Update. They need to keep Michael Che as a writer and get him off of Weekend Update. His delivery is often cringe-worthy, and he stumbles over his words all the time.

Izzy is looking good, but man her lipsyncing is horrible.

I liked the Illuminati billionaire one, and the Halloween costume one. The redneck zombie one was meh.

The story about the plane full of Dennises and one Brian was hilarious.

That was a great line, but he stumbled over half the sentence and then whiffed with a poor delivery IMO.
