One of the bands is actually good.

The other one had a video game based on them.

What the hell is Allmusic and how are they qualified to determine who is the better band?

Steely Dan vs. Journey (Posted on 10/25/14 at 8:22 pm) Which band do you think is better and why?

You CAN NOT be serious.

eta: Steely Dan vs. Supertramp would have been a better question.

In fairness to the OP, if Journey produced music he favors over that of Steely Dan then he is correct to assert that Journey was superior. Music is entertainment. Entertainment is subjective. There is no definitive answer.

Did these two just get picked randomly out of the bingo tumbler? Journey vs Boston or Steely Dan vs the Doobies with the Jeff Baxter element would have been better.

To answer the question...

Steely Dan vs. Journey.
Paris vs. Disney World.
I like Disney World, it's fun-but it's not Paris.

There was a Simon and Garfunkel vs. Hall & Oates which I guess makes more sense but isn't any harder than the OP.

Was not a Steely Dan fan in my teenage years (late 1970's), but I CAN appreciate SOME of their stuff now.

I ALWAYS thought Journey sucked arse.
