Hanagriff mentioned that one of his sons was also injured in a game last night.

Prayers sent to th Miles. When he spoke on it last night it really hit home for me. His coaching will always be debatable to some but idt anyone can argue that Miles isnt a good man. Funny, he's been here so long now that I feel like I know him personally! Lol. Love our coach, go Tigers and thank you Coach Miles.

Late to the thread, but, Coach Miles made her proud last night. She raised a good son and it shows in the way he relates to his players.

May his mom rest in peace.

This. After losing my father in August, it can get quite emotional just to have to talk about them so soon after.

Stoic, yes. Mothers deserve a lot of credit for the men their sons become.

He channeled his sorrow and emotion through the team, it seemed, but with calmness and grace, and they responded with the opposite of sorrow, intense anger and determination. Les is good at this kind of thing.

Epic night.

People forget Les' sister was killed in a car crash rt before the 2011 season. We have the rt guy. Is he human? Yes. Is he a great coach? Absolutely.

The Tigers have won 24 games under Miles when trailing in the fourth quarter. And this one came hours after Miles’ mother died. Martha Miles passed away Friday evening. She was 91.

“Miss ya, Mom,” Miles said afterward.

“I want to say thanks to all of those people who have found the time to wish me condolences for my mom,” said Miles, who was given the game ball by the team. “Had a rough night last night.”

When he said she'd been in his mind a lot last night, I definitely found some onions in my lap.

Condolences to Coach Miles and his family.

As frustrating as his coaching style makes me too often, I hear him make such a touching and heartfelt post-game speech like last night and I am reminded what a decent human being he is.

Hats off to CLM and the team on a great win…
