s soon as the overwhelming majority of climate scientists change their tune you see my arse up in here saying "climate change is a lie" until then I'll trust the people who devote their lives to the subject......just like I do with medical doctors, structural engineers...you know the professionals. Not a bunch of half-assed political forum hacks who get their info from Drudge and Limbaugh.

ETA: Ohh, I forgot, all the scientific support for AGW is bought and paid for and all the anti-AGW "science" is purely non monetized!!! Sorry guys I keep forgetting! Ill get it right eventually!

The hilarious part...and I mean hilarious...is most of the climate change deniers...believe in a magical sky god ...without any evidence of his existence.

Things that make you say hmmm.

Hatred of science and scientists

Wut?
I don't think you know what hatred is.

The rest of your post is just hogwash.

It is no longer science when the hypothesis does not change when the experimentation and models fail. When the answer to the question remains the same regardless of outcome, we are no longer having a scientific discussion.

But please continue your straw men and what not. It's fun to laughter at.

It would really be comical if it was on Comedy Central, but unfortunately its real. All you can really do is shake your head at that.

Other than that, "ivory tower elitist" in the conservative lexicon might as well be "wun dem smartass college bowes". Same thing with scientists.

So, since you refused to actually address my post and just focussed on an auto-correct, should I assume that you agree that we should be skeptical of fake science? Glad we are on th same page.

Your post demonstrates pretty soundly how little you understand science and didn't really merit much on that front.

The misspelling was really the only redeeming factor so I set my focus there.

Oh really? Then please educate me, as I would like to improve my knowledge on the subject (not trying to be a dick. If I'm mistaken, show me where)

Look man, I've been through about 2-3 threads discussing the science of AGW and they tend to be REALLY long, time consuming and end the end noone's opinion gets changed. I'd prefer to avoid doing it again if its all the same to you. I'll just leave you with this statement again.

When the majority of the earths climate scientists are retracting their findings and stating that AGW is not a threat I will literally be the first one in here rejoicing. I WANT them to be wrong........I truly do, as everyone really should. But until that time I will function as I do in every other facet of my life. I will defer to the experts who have dedicated their lives to the study of a narrowly focused field of science. Structural engineering, particle physics, nuclear engineering, automotive, medicine.....all those subjects every day you and I and every other motherfricker on this forum defer to the experts......yet magically in evolution and global warming there are those who all the sudden have a problem science and scientists.

This is not a coincidence. This is politics and religion interfering. Have a good evening, I need to finish working out then hopefully get laid.

The hilarious part...and I mean hilarious...is most of the climate change promoters...believe the earth is around 4.5 billion years old that went through it's last ice age about 20,000 years ago...yet think the last 100 years of data is enough data for their science to be pushed down people's throats.

Things that make you say hmmm.

It can go both ways.

They can't predict the weather with enough accuracy 7 days out and they are here to say they can predict the climate down the road and the affects with less than 0.0000022222% of the years of the earth's temperatures and such as actual recorded data?

All this "It's the hottest month on record!" stuff is laughable. It's just propaganda to negate the fact that they don't have near enough data to even get a trend of the earth's climate with respect to it's age. We were supposed to be burned up thanks to aerosol cans destroying the ozone, in another ice age, run out of oil, and now this is the new hot item.

???????????

Politics has everything to do with it, and religion has nothing to do with it.

Sure the climate is changing, but the govt. can't do anything about it except tax us, make rules, hire people to watch us, etc. and help their buddies profit from all their regulations.

I mean, if you can't win on facts, at least you can attack their religion because that's relevant amirite?

That's the thing, there is no problem deferring to experts, but that doesn't mean they are beyond questioning. These experts have gone into it with a predetermined outcome. That is not science, as I have already stated. The fact that they could not get results to fall within their confidence intervals shows that the hypothesis was wrong and needs to be changed. Instead of doing the scientific thing and going back to the drawing board, they said that their hypothesis was still correct. That is not science. That is basically a philosopher who is good at compiling data.

So, until scientists start correctly applying the scientific method, I'm going to be incredibly skeptical of them, as should any science loving individual.

You and Spidey should get together and play dungeons and dragons. Seems you both have the same "us vs them" mentality.

I attended a biofuels conference in DC put on by the Dept of Energy as an industry rep in what was basically a fact finding mission to see if any legitimate business opportunities existed for us at the time.

I knew there would be a leftist tilt to the event but when I saw the spokesperson for the Natural Resources Defense Council was giving the keynote speech, I was a bit surprised. Dept of Energy staffers and leading academics were there as well as industry folks and US policy was being discussed ad nauseam. I thought having a woman from the NRDC open the conference was over the top given their extreme politics.

To the left leaners who frequently call this board a conservative echo chamber, I suggest you attend an event like this and see how well received an opposing viewpoint is.

I can only suppose that conferences on climate change are cut from the same cloth.

John Coleman has no scientific credentials whatsoever. None.

Happier is a physicist. At least he has scientific credentials. Course his area of expertise, atomic physics/optics/spectroscopy has nothing to do with climate.
