As for OP, I hope the POS that hit the firefighter does some soul searching. I don't know the whole story, but the fact that he showed no remorse and wouldn't speak to the kids tells me all I really need to know about him.
That being said... How much more time do you guys think is warranted though? He was speeding, but he didn't do it on purpose right? It wasn't a road rage type of incident, was it? Maybe 10 years would have been more appropriate.

Haven't you heard? Firefighters are better than other people so their deaths are more tragic. The same is sometimes true for cops and always true for veterans.
