It's one of the top 3 restaurants in town. IMO

Super consistent with both the food and service. It doesn't get a ton of buzz here, but that's primarily because of it's consistency.

I read the online menu, and I'd love to hit it. Never been.

I wrote about it a few years ago. Its such a strange and confusing restaurant. I think there are much better places in the city to drop serious coin. But im in the minority on that

There's your answer. Coquette is an excellent restaurant that has a nice charm. You can get great food and cocktails. They just switched to a fall menu that looks interesting.

I don't know why Coquette doesn't get more attention. It's one of my favorite restaurants in town. The tasting menu with wine pairing is always outstanding. It's affordable. The service is great.

I was curious about the fried chicken dinner they did a while back. But not $100 curious.

In an effort not to start another Nola food thread, I submit the following:

Where I need to eat lunch this Sunday? Looking for a long n leisurely lunch, plenty of drinks, seafood on the menu a plus. Preferably a spot that we haven't been, which shouldn't be much of a stipulation. Tia.

Spicer never "owned" Herbsaint. Link has been there from the beginning. Susan was more of a consultant with maybe a little equity in the place.

I'd go uptown to Clancy's.

If y'all are drinkers Sylvain makes a great, albeit hazy, brunch spot.

I actually like Sylvain for brunch and dinner. It's not mentioned as often these days, but I've never been disappointed there.

I went all the time when they first opened and got burned out because the menu never changes. I tried to go last minute on Friday. They pretty much laughed at me when I called about a reservation.

My mistake. I thought she actually owned Bayona, Herbsaint and Cobalt. We used to hit up Herbsaint often as our offices were in One Shell Square.

We'd also hit up Cobalt, which was just okay, but the Chicken and Waffles they served on Wednesdays were good.

I look at the Coquette menu and am not overwhelmed, but it is getting high praise from many here, so I am definitely going to try it.

Spicer definitely owned Herbsaint. She had a decent equity stake but sold out a few years in. Now one could ebate whether or not it was a Spicer restaurant but she owned it.

She also owned Cobalt and the chef there was Brack May who still does chicken and waffles on Wednesday at Cowbell.

Le Petit Grocery and Gautreaus are also great.

It's strange that no one has said Peche yet. Because Peche... But really.

Was Cobalt where Luke is now?
