That's actually somewhat a design feature. Would you rather the bed or the cab rattle like that?

It just looks hilarious to me

I don't drive over roads that bad so it doesn't matter to me

2011 GMC's had great drivetrains, good seats, but crappy interiors. Little pieces always rattling or falling off.

I'm kinda disappointed in some niggling quality issues in 2011-2013 Ford F-150s, but I don't know about the 2015s. The only complaints I've heard on Tundras is the lack of an intergrrated brake controller and somewhat poorer gas mileage than the competition. I personally feel that they use a thinner gauge steel in their truck beds and tailgates. That said, everyone I know with one is very happy with it.

No it isn't.

But by all means, please go and hook up 15,000+ lbs to your Tundra and report back to us.

Glad someone gets it. Lots of uninformed people speaking out of their arse in this thread. Do your research and it's pretty easy to know who makes the better truck.

Toyota does make a good truck though and it would be my second choice.

Got friends with all sorts of trucks. I have a Chevy Silverado. The friend with the Tundra's bed twists and turns a lot when he pulled my boat. Seemed kind of sketchy. For every day driving it is pretty nice though.

Most people don't do anything with their trucks other than daily commutes, so I think for most people they are just fine.

I had an 05 F-150 I bought new and an 07 Tundra I bought in 09.
No comparison, Tundra owned the Ford in every sense. It was more comfortable, more power, handled better, certainly held up better over time, pulled drastically better.
Drivetrain wise, I had no issues with either. The interior of the Ford seemed to wear and loosen up a lot faster than the Tundra.

Had an 05 F150 and now drive a 2011 Tundra. 62K miles in and not a problem. When it's all cleaned up it looks brand new. No rattles, no discoloration, and the leathers actually holding up really well. I love everything about it and will def buy another. Two of my coworkers have new F150s with the Ecoboost. I ride with them to grab lunch a few times a week and besides the plush interior I'm not convinced. One of the two had already sent his back for transmission work.

It's the heaviest half ton on the market. It can either be 6800 lb gvw or 7200 lb gvw which is exactly the same gvw as the light 3/4 ton Chevy used to be. Chevy used to offer a 7200lb and a 8600lb 3/4 ton but I think they go with only the heavy one now.

I think a crewmax weighs in at about 5600.

They are built more like 3/4 trucks in some areas than they are 1/2 ton

It's funny bc I have 0 dog in the fight and I honestly prefer the Tundra slightly to the F150 (the current one at least). Just not seeing anything 3/4 ton-esque about the Tundra vs other half tons lol.

No, there isn't. Everybody's 1/2 ton weighs about the same.

Ford"s 2015 truck may be lighter due to aluminum, IDK.
