Anybody who was in Point Break is alright in my book.

Meh, I just mean that Keanu's range is pretty limited, but what he does, he does well. Tom Hanks is the same in that regard, with probably a better overall quality.
I think I understand what you are getting at, but in terms of genre range, there is none better than Hanks. He does everything except pure action and he does it all well. He has far more range than Keanu, even in the sense that within the roles he chooses, he shows more depth of character. I love Keanu Reeves, but hanks is one of the best actors working and has been for years.

Christian Bale? Can't stand him, personally. He's a great actor, but quite obviously a terrible, terrible human being.
What the frick are you talking about? Because of one on set blow up when a production designer continued to walk into a scene to frick with shite despite repeated requests from Bale to just let him get the scene right? Seriously?

One of the saddest realizations I came to when Patrick Swayze died was that there would be no Point Break sequel. Loved them both in that movie.
There was a Point Break sequel, except it starred Paul Walker and Vin Diesel

i disagree - a terrible person would not show up at a hospital and spend time with shooting victims, just cause they were injured during a batman film. sure it could have been for publicity, but he still didnt have to do it.

there is no comparison. The ex-presidents were way more badass than some bullshite street racing crew involving Michelle Rodriguez.

Have you heard his rant? That is not something decent people do. It lacked all sense of professionalism and was petty. Was it alright for him to be upset? Sure. To freak out? No fricking way.

I've had rants. Never have I ever gone to my boss and told them I'd quit if he didn't fire a coworker, holding up a $100,000,000 business venture.

He has since apologized for it. Pretty much immediately after the fact, actually, and he continues to be upset about his actions that day in interviews because, if you read about him, a lot of what he does he does for others in the business and his actions that day ran counter to his normal identity.
For instance, Scott Cooper had written Out of the Furnace specifically for Bale. When Bale almost bailed on the project after a seven month shoot for TDKR, Cooper was seriously dejected and was on the brink of scrapping the project in its entirety. Bale found out, told Cooper there was no way he was scrapping the project because Bale was too exhausted to work, and Bale did the movie despite his exhaustion and needing to prepare for American Hustle because he didn't want to keep Cooper's vision and money in limbo like that.
Essentially, he did the movie to keep another actor (and director) in the black and to make his art work.
It's funny, but aside from that rant and the public issue he had with his mom, he is well thought of in the Hollywood community from what I can tell. Every actor who speaks about him speaks highly of him, particularly after he gets out of character once a movie is wrapped. But he almost never steps out into the public, which he claims is done for artistic reasons (he doesn't want people in the theater associating the character on screen with Bale as a person), so the few times he does something that shocks people, he gets lambasted for it even years and years later because there's nothing else for the tabloids to talk about in terms of his personal life.

Point Break is almost Shawshank-esque in my book.
If it's on - I get easily sucked in despite seeing it a hundred times.
For some reason Speed doesn't seem to hold up for me...as much as I like Sandra Bullock...it just seems so corny.

I've always liked him too. And I'm hopeful that one day I'll succeed in getting people here to watch Henry's Crime.

I still can't get over that damn central Florida drawl he had in The Devil's Advocate. That's about as unnatural of a dialect as I have ever seen.
