I like the guy but sorry Freaux Tom Hanks could act circles around Keanu.

Meh, I just mean that Keanu's range is pretty limited, but what he does, he does well. Tom Hanks is the same in that regard, with probably a better overall quality.

But you'd never see Hanks try something off the wall like John Wick, Man of Tai Chi or even Thumbsucker.

Anyways, while we're on the comparison:

The Day The Earth Stood Still is one of the worst big budget films ever. Yeah, probably worse than Battlefield Earth.

Have you seen Cloud Atlas?

We need to bring M J Cocks in on this one. He likes pretty much everything and he admitted Day was horrible.

Oh no Day was a horrible horrible movie. No doubt about that.

Cloud Atlas, though, is Crash like. Not necessarily bad movie bad, but vapid, empty, soulless, while at the same time believing itself to be full of truth, meaning, and beauty.

For me at least, that's the worst kind of film. I'd watch a plain old bad film any day over that.

Sure, almost anybody who can, you know, actually "act" - although he actually does try. Heck, it was clear he was trying his arse off in Speed - he obviously knew he was in 90% of the scenes.

I like him.

I do, too, on a personal level. It comes through in various roles - but because of his personality - not his acting.

I liked Jimmy Stewart, too. Great actor, though. Ditto for Tom Hanks. It's clear that Tom Hanks and I have a lot in common (he's older than me, of course), and he seems like a great guy. But, that's another great actor.

Christian Bale? Can't stand him, personally. He's a great actor, but quite obviously a terrible, terrible human being.

One's (being likeable) has nothing to do with the other (being able to "act").

In John Wick is he going on a revenge killing spree because theon greyjoy killed his dog?

I've liked Keanu Reevees for years but this one doesn't have me very excited.

Could you imagine if Will Smith would've taken that role. Good God that would've been a tragedy.

There's supposed to be a bunch of cool concepts in the film about that's possible for them to branch out to explore different stuff. Like a criminal underworld equivalent of the marvel universe.

One of the saddest realizations I came to when Patrick Swayze died was that there would be no Point Break sequel. Loved them both in that movie. Keanu hasn't gotten a fair shake after the terrible matrix sequels but I don't blame him for those.
